Me, Myself and the Little Hairball

I lived alone in my own home until one day a strange hairball creature appeared somewhere in my apartment. I tried to yeet it out several times for days, but eventually gave up. After all, it was harmless actually, and in a way even cute-looking, so I decided to adopt it from then on.

In the game, the player's choices affect the well-being of the character and their new pet, and you have the opportunity to influence the outcome of what happens to both of you. Perhaps you will manage to keep both of you in such good shape, that in the end you will feel that the effort is worth it. OR! After all, both of you come to exactly the opposite conclusion. The choice is YOURS!

A Captivating Journey into the Depths of Self-Reflection

"Me Myself and the Little Hairball" is a visual novel that skillfully intertwines humor and poignant self-discovery, offering players a unique and introspective experience. The game let me to explore the intricacies of depression through the lens of a character who finds solace in the mundane routine of watching 'nutflix' and sleeping, creating a powerful allegory through the transformation of the lovable Wuffeli.

Both gameplay and narrative mirrors masterfully the main characters minor joys and struggles in his repetitive day to day life, making this visual novel hauntingly accurate for those who can relate to it. The transformation of Wuffeli into a manifestation of one's inner angels and demons is simply a stroke of genius and makes you reflect on your own choices quite alot.

While the main story may not offer an extensive narrative, the game compensates with plethora of entertaining choices and an abundance of Finland references and let me say that as a fellow Finn, I couldn't help but to shout "TORILLE!" atleast twice during my playthrough.

The supporting characters in the game are a highlight, with the unexpected roomba plot twist (those who know KNOW) leaving a lasting impression that will linger in my thoughts long after playing. The enigmatic TV's chef adds an extra layer of intrigue, and cannot help but hope for future adventures featuring this character.

"Me, Myself and the Little Hairball" is not just a game; it's an exploration of one's inner struggles, presented with a delightful mix of humor and depth. The game invites players to break free from the monotony of 'nutflix' and explore the vast emotional landscape within. For those willing to delve beyond the surface, this visual novel offers a rewarding and insightful experience that is both amusing and profoundly moving.
